The law of large numbers tells us that if your sample size gets really big, it’s mean will get really close to the mean of the random variable your sampling. I had to know that for a final today, along with some technical aspects, blah blah. Going into the class I was on the border of a B and an A. Pretty sure the final moved me south of that border.

Yesterday I took a class that I had no shot at an A and did okay.  So as my N (tests taken) gets large, the mean of my test scores is moving towards a B. I was really hoping to be an “A” grad student, but as a statistician, I have to admit it looks like that might not be the case.
